Are you still dreaming?

Dream, Fulfilment, Growth

Is there a time when we become too old to dream? Is there a time when we naturally stop to envision the stuff we don't do in our daily lives? Is there a time when responsibility takes up the space to dream? In PURDEY'S video, Idris Elba masterfully asks the question at hand to different people. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" All of people are from various generations and backgrounds. And this video beautifully shows the surprised faces, when Elba asks the above question, topped by "You do realize that you're still growing, right?" Dreams disappearing to the backyard of our houses is a common phenomenon, growing with age. The same happened to myself and many people around. We get sucked in the responsibilities of our daily lives, days pass by and we often don't take the time for the big questions. Or we dream partially: We become strong business leaders and focused entrepreneurs with a firm vision of what we want to achieve. But there is no such clarity who we want to be as a woman or a man, apart from our professions. What happened to my ultimate dream of becoming an astronaut? And yours? If you find yourself not dreaming anymore or just in certain areas, Purdey's video is a wonderful reminder to reconnect to your innermost dreams and create space for them. What really matters to you? Let's not forget that an average lifespan in Switzerland has about 30'000 days. For most of us, half of that is gone. So let's reconnect to our dreams!
